i was the reason for that smile: liam, one of the four golden boys, is cello player and irrecoverably and sadly in love with his heartthrob best friend, zayn. liam is the only one allowed to unravel the enigmas that is louis tomlinson, but he's often weighed down by the secrets zayn manipulates him into keeping.

you're leaving me (tonight): after the loss of his twin sister and best friend, niall falls into seclusion and ignores his life. instead of going to uni, he takes a trip to greece on a whim. there he meets a girl with wild dark hair and too much compassion. when he realizes he's in love with her, he flees home to find zayn's father has died and harry's condition becomes life-threatening. louis admits his feelings about the boy with the stars in his eyes, liam and zayn finally have their chance at happiness and niall mends his heart and learns to love gemma like she deserves.
cigarette kisses: louis and harry during spring break after harry's diagnosis. a lazy morning of shot gunning, love making, and all those words those boys can't quite say yet
beam and anchor: liam and zayn escape to spain once again for spring break. though his father has died, the remnants of zayn's abuse is still very well alive. liam tries his best to sooth the scars zayn wants so desperately to hide
incandescent bones: harry's condition morphs into something far more sinister as he vies for louis' attentions, and it takes a turn for the worse. after an accident, harry promises that he'll try to get better, and louis is running out of options
sun dance: zayn and liam and the sunny june mornings in their flat. zayn knee is worsening and liam smells like that brick of soap he likes too much. niall is keeping a secret and louis has sent harry away so he can get healthy. once again, liam tries to pick up the pieces and zayn is slightly in awe of him
