2013 Favorites: Albums of 2013

Every year, towards the end of the year, I do a "favorites" and since 2013 is coming to an end (what the heck) I though I'd get scared.

A l b u m s: These are my favorite albums released in 2013. So much good music was released this year, so it was hard to pick.

2013 was a great come back year from the middle school days with Fall Out Boy's "Save Rock and Roll", Panic's "Too Rare To Live, Too Rare To Die" and Paramore's self-titled. It was FOB's first album (which literally came out of NOWHERE) since there  2009 hiatus. It had been a few years since Panic! at the Disco and Paramore also made an album.

Of course, the 2013 music scene sucked because of the break up of My Chemical Romance aka my all time favorite band.

An album I had been GREATLY anticipating had been Sleeping With Sirens' Feel, which was personally a huge let down. I literally like two or three songs from that album.

On the other had, I wasn't expecting too much from Bring Me The Horizon's new album. I was completely blown away and it became mine, along with many other people's favorite album. It is perfect. Lead singer, Oliver Sykes, clean vocals were perfect. It was a big change from all their previous work. I love seeing how much they have grown up as a band. Bring Me The Horizon had always been a band a loved, but Sempiternal moved them up to one of my favorite bands of all time. The lyrics man, the lyrics.

"Youth" by Citizen was the first thing I had ever heard by them and I loved it! 

"Heart Attack", "What You Don't See" and "The Greatest Generations" are three albums I was looking forward by the Warped touring bands, Man Overboard, The Story so Far, and The Wonder Years. All three albums did not disappoint me at all. Same can be said about Never Shout Never's "Sunflower". I especially loved studio versions of previously released songs on that album.

"Common Courtesy" and "Monsters in the Closet" both came out last week. I love the lyrics, and it's very much like the bands previous work. I'm a casual listener to A Day to Remember and I think "Common Courtesy" is the album that is making me an official fan. I've only gotten into Mayday within the last six months, so most of their music is still new to me, but I really like the album so far.

Panic!, FOB, Paramore, and MCR

idk man, but panic, fob, paramore, and mcr were basically the only bands i listened to from  age 11 to age 14 (aka middle school) and panic, fob and paramore all came out with new music and mcr jUST BROKE UP like what up i could have had middle school all over again even though middle school fucking sucks balls lol i'm ranting but don't even care i am so done with everything

Three songs that remind me of 2012

One Night by Ed Sheeran: This song reminds me of Summer 2012, when I went camping with my two best friends. I played and dedicated One Night to my friends because we have a love-hate-lesbian relationship.

King For Day- Pierce The Veil ft. Kellin Quinn: This reminds me of the first football game of 2012, the first football game since the song came out. Me and my friends were jamming out to it, specifically "I bet you've never had a Friday night like this". 

I Want- One Direction: I went to Lake Tahoe the weekend that Up All Night came out so I was really excited when I finally, legally had a copy of Up All Night and I Want was my favorite song so. This was March 2012.

The Kellin Quinn/ Sleeping With Sirens Rant

1. Okay. I honestly don't think that 80$ is that much for what your getting. The thing that annoys me is that it's a photo with Kellin and a Q & A session with Kellin like what up dude I came to see sws not Kellin Quinn? But thing signing is with all of the band so ok

2. One Direction charges 250$ for the exact same thing that sws is charging 80$ for. 

3. It's the internet and people can say whatever the fuck they want to say ok?

Panic! at the disco

So, I've been listening to Panic! at the disco today and it feels so asdfghjkl; nostalgic 

They were my /first/ favorite band. They led my to all the music I listen to now and ryan and brendon where my first OTP and ship and some of the first fanfictions I read and the first slash and smut I ever read.

Panic, FOB and MCR were my favorite bands since I was 11 and asdfkjd

I Need To Lose 15 Pounds

My goal is to lose fifteen pounds by the time school starts, which is in exactly on month.

I realize that this is pretty unlikely and honesty, I don't care how much I lose, I would just like to go down a pants size..

My monthly most played

Back in the day, I used to post my top 25 most played on iTunes every month. The last time I did was probably over a year ago. The last time I posted it, it was mostly One Direction and Ed Sheeran.

This month it's mainly Pierce The Veil, as it has been since August 2012 when I got re-obsessed with them.

This isn't really that accurate though, because the plays have been accumulating for years.

Why

A Tumblr Rant

Ugh, I miss the old Tumblr.

I miss the days when pretty much everyone was quality and everyone had a group or cliche and there was like this big elite group of Tumblr famous people that everyone wanted be friends with. People always did Tiny Chats and stuff.

Back in those days Tumblr was more like one community and everyone was friends and now there's just a bunch of separate groups (hipster, fandom, grunge, black and white, band blogs, ect.) and everyone has like the same amount of followers that just takes away some of the fun.

Most importantly, you really could be yourself back then. Now you have to be different from "popular" people at school but the same as everyone else on Tumblr.

My Summer (so far)

This summer has basically been exactly like last years summer.

All I really do it read fan fiction (Teen Wolf, mainly) and watch TV shows, I am recently into Sherlock and Doctor Who, and I am watching Supernatural again. As always, I am reading and writing.

It's quite lonely, and a bit depressing, a lot depressing actually, but there isn't much I can do about it.

Still trying to use this blog again...

Ah! I use to use this blog every single day around a year ago. Then, I didn't use it in six months. I am trying to use it often again.

The Maze Runner...

I am so excited for The Maze Runner movie. I can't wait. For once, there is a cast that I like for once of my favorite books!

This is one of my (many) favorite book series, and Dylan O'Brien is my actual favorite thing in the world so, I cannot be disappointed with it.

Fanfiction...

This is about 250 of the best/memorable/enjoyed fics I have read in 2012 + 2013. This is only fics I enjoyed. A lot of fics have been deleted, sadly, so this is what I have.

70 % of this is Harry Styles/ Louis Tomlinson of One Direction. 20 % is Stiles / Derek Hale from Teen Wolf. The other 10 % is random One Direction pairings.

I hate ignorant people and people that use bad grammar. I hate people that cheat and people that ask out others as a joke. I hate everyone that has every told someone to kill themselves. I hate judgmental people and people that talk behind people's back. I hate people that always talk but aren't ever willing to listen. I hate people that pretend to have mental illnesses. I hate my so called friends, and literally everyone at my school. I hate my family. I hate people that put other people down.

part two: me (physical)

I hate my toes that are too long and my legs that are too fat and pale. I hate my hip bones and collar bones that aren't visible. I hate my stomach that isn't flat and my breast, that are. And I hate my arms and wrist. I hate my face, maybe for than anything. I hate my nose that's too big and my cheeks that everyone points out how fat they are. I hate my lips, that have yet to be kissed. I hate my eyelashes that are always being picked at and ripped out. I hate my hair. A lot. I hate my skin too and every flaw on it. I hate everything, by my ears. I really hate my voice.

part three: me (mentally)

I hate that I cry over everything. I hate that I over think everything. I hate that I always say what I don't mean, and never say what I do mean. I hate the person I hide behind. I hate that I'm always sad. I hate that I feel this way. I hate how dumb I am. I hate that I can't do the simplest things. I hate that I blush when ever I feel anyone's eyes on me. I hate I hate everything. I hate that I'm scared of everything from bugs to food. I hate that I'm scared to people. I hate that I lie so much. I hate that I make up excuses to be alone. I hate that I can't feel anyone how I feel. I hate how even when exactly what I want is handed to me, I can't except it. I hate that I let certain people walk all over me. I hate that I'm so rude to others. I hate that I don't feel anything but hate. I hate being alone. I hate always being frustrated. I hate that I lose everything. I hate that I'm so weak. I hate how I completely send myself different signals. I hate the first time I brought a blade to myself. Over, and over again. I hate every time I eat. I hate that every time I eat I have to try to make myself throw up.

I was social last week

I am proud of myself.

Monday: I did the ice challenge with my friend and we made cupcakes.

Tuesday: It was my best friends birthday. Cake at my friends, out for pizza with 4 friends, and then we hung out in the park, at night for a while.

Wednesday: Mall after school with my 3 friends (I'll probably make a post of what I bought). We missed the bus, we got stuck in an elevator, and ran into this guy that graduated last year.

Thursday: Hung out with a friend, then was in the school band concert

Friday: Hung out with a friend and his girlfriend. They are both are really good friends, so it wasn't awkward or third wheelish.

I WAS SOCIAL THIS WEEK TOO. kind of.

In Which I Never Blog Anymore

So, I haven't really used this blog in months.

This summer, I would makes tons of post on this blog, several a day, but that was probably because I was super bored and had nothing to do. I'm pretty busy these days, mostly with Tumblr, Friends, and School (in order of importance). On weekends, I'm still doing homework, or shopping or writing, since I really only have time to write during weekends.

Maybe I'll start using this blog more, maybe not, I don't know. I have like a billion tumblr (okay, I have three...) so I do all of my blogging there and I'm keeping a 2013 journal, so I don't really have much to say on this blog.
