The entertainment industry is a big fucking joke.


To be honest, our whole society as a hole is a fucking joke.


I'll start with the entertainment part. Fame.


The subject of One Direction.


One Direction is famous because of their looks, and there is no denying it. This is coming from me, a fifteen year old girl with  30+ poster covering every inch of my wall.


Even when One Direction was being put together, Simon was looking for boys with the look, you know? I'll assure you, if  One Direction was ugly, they would not being were they are today. There faces sells. 


Like, if I see a magazine, with a huge poster of one of the boys, I'll buy it so I can put there pretty faces on my wall. I could name dozens of girls that only like One Direction and buy their stuff because they're cute.


I'm not saying they don't have talent, because they do (talent wasted on bubblegum pop music), but they got where they are because of there looks. I'd say a big fraction of the people that voted for them on x-factor were doing it because they're cute.


When was the last time a famous band didn't have a cute lead singer?


When was the last time a movie didn't have a hot lead actor and actress?


Honestly, all you need is a cute face and you've made it in the industry. 


When in fucking books the characters are always described as attractive.

Even on fucking tumblr, when was the last time you saw an unattractive "tumblr famous" person?


"lms" for a rate is all over my facebook everyday. 


"omg im so ugly" says the pretty teenage girl as she posts a picture on facebook, knowing how many "likes" it will get.


"like my picture if you think im pretty"


And, my god, do not get me stated on "shipping". (a twitter/tumblr thing)


"omg u r so pretty! you deserve harry!!! im so jealous"


Completely different subject, but like, last week I was explaining to my cousin "Larry Stylinson" (she's not really a fan, but I got her to ship it) and my brother, who's 5, asked me what gay was, I said "when two boys love each other" and he said " ew boys don't like each other".


But I don't even understand why he would say "ew". My parents have never acknowledged homosexuality as being bad, like even my cousin is gay.


Yet, I asked my cousin (15) what his thoughts on gay marriage was and he said "everyone should just be allowed to do what they want" my other cousin (11, female) thinks its weird, my other cousin (12) just said that Harry and Louis are gay.


But like, honestly, there is nothing on earth that annoys me more than when people say "gay" as an insult.


Guy at school: One Direction is gay
Me: So?
Friend: If you say one direction is gay, she's gonna think you like them.
Guy: I meant it as an insult.

girl at school: ew i hate the color pink its so girly
me: its a color. how can you dislike it?


God, I just do not understand this world, and how fucking arrogant everyone is.
